As a video editor at heart, I love adobe premiere (I feel like I can create anything with it). But I know my team has found a lot of value in webflow for building learning content; its flexibility allows us to design information exactly how we imagine it to flow. And of course, trusty old, true-blue Camtasia. I still feel that we’re not using it as deeply as we could be.
It’s easy to just look over at Trailhead and follow that path, it’s a safe path because it’s been blazed before. I really love John Green’s Crash Course in World History. It’s not for everyone, but I like the speed, the detail, the humor. I honestly didn’t know I was a lover of history until I experienced his content.
Cut out the jokes haha. Having a warm personality behind the material and empathetic word choice should be enough. Trying to make your training more enjoyable by throwing in some of your standup routine can often feel like a waste of time to the customer… and the material rarely ages well (take it from me).
