As a video editor at heart, I love adobe premiere (I feel like I can create anything with it). But I know my team has found a lot of value in webflow for building learning content; its flexibility allows us to design information exactly how we imagine it to flow. And of course, trusty old, true-blue Camtasia. I still feel that we’re not using it as deeply as we could be.
It’s easy to just look over at Trailhead and follow that path, it’s a safe path because it’s been blazed before. I really love John Green’s Crash Course in World History. It’s not for everyone, but I like the speed, the detail, the humor. I honestly didn’t know I was a lover of history until I experienced his content.
Cut out the jokes haha. Having a warm personality behind the material and empathetic word choice should be enough. Trying to make your training more enjoyable by throwing in some of your standup routine can often feel like a waste of time to the customer… and the material rarely ages well (take it from me).
Our Trainers – while it’s virtual, they still find a way to bring humanity into the room and have customers walk away with actionable skills they can immediately apply
Certification program – a means for our customers to prove their proficiency and earn a practice-based credential that validates some very marketable skills
Our LMS – Our video-based learning portal has been massive in taking the lofty concepts of channel-agnostic marketing, dynamic personalization, and machine learning and making them easy to understand.
